Don't worry I checked my Forex app earlier today and mine said something similar. If there was a 'Ukraine problem' then the exchange rate would have gone the other way and in your favour. The issue will be a technical IT blip I would imagine as markets are now shut across the world and trading will not reopen until Monday morning. Exchange rates do not fluctuate in that manner.

Am I seeing right....the pound was $1.820 ish last night .....now $1.566 !!!! that's really bad news. Anyone know the reasons why....Is it the Russia/ Ukraine problem ?????

No I think your app is wrong. Exchange rates do not move like that, not unless there was a sudden major world issue taking place, which there is not. On XE.com it has been entirely stable.

You made me panic as our children are about to transfer some money - just checked with our broker (SAT Worldwide) and rate is 1.80 this morning
