DavidM
I've signed up with Commonwealth, but see NAB don't charge PP members for international transfers (~$15 to ~$35 a pop) through MoneyCorp. Any other noticeable difference between the two banks, from a personal experience?
verystormy
All pretty similar. My advice is to look at where you think you will live and see if there is a branch there.
Nikkis2000
My advice for what it's worth is to avoid the big 4 full stop.
Chardy
Not had any issues with NAB in nearly 2 years :-)
Bibbs
If it matters, ANZ are one of the few *big* banks that will give house loads to contractors after a year. Helped me loads to have my accounts with them, for when I bought a house. They also do my business accounts, as it's useful for me to have them all in one location. Expatmummy
I transfer my money with HiFX, as long as it is at least £3000 the transfer is free and the rate is good.
DavidM
Thanks all, if there's no difference other than transfer fees then NAB so!
verystormy
Not much between them. I have accounts with NAB, ANZ and westpac. All are similar. Be aware they all charge if you use someone else's ATM, hence why I said check out the ones near you. Though the supermarkets will give cash back for free and even without a purchase.
