moved back over to Perth recently with partner and son looking for girl mates.

Hi,

I have just moved back to Perth from the UK as have been living there past four years with my partner.

I have a two and half year old son, so am looking for other mothers with young kids or just anyone that's looking for a mate to take kids out and socialize.

I know Perth pretty well as lived here for six years before I moved back over to the UK. Yet back in Perth for good. I'm in joondalup/ wanneroo area. :) oh and I'm 23 and my partners 31.

Hi! I'm moving out in a few months time, early October so will PM you once we are settled and maybe we can arrange a play date :-) I have two girls, my oldest is 2 and a half also and my youngest is 9 months. I'm 30 and my husband is 34. I'm staying at home with the girls until we are settled. We are staying in Kingsley for the first month until we find a rental and choose a suburb to live in. Hope you are enjoying being back in Perth! :-)

We are mmoving in August with a three yr old and three month old ( we must be mad!) and know nobody. It would be lovely to meet up with people for a playdate as beginning to get worried we are leaving everything behind and going throughthe " are we doing the right thing!" questions.

Yeah same as how I'm feeling today Louise! It's hard with little ones isn't it! For the first time today my eldest daughter who turned 2 in May went to nursery happy and content saying she was going to play in the garden with her friends. She has a wonderful circle of friends and I've got some lovely mummy friends and feel like it has taken a while to figure out the right playgroups and sessions for my little ones. Some playgroups can be quite clicky and after 2 years we have a lovely routine every week of play dates, softplay, music sessions, cooking classes, swimming and time with the grandparents, it's going to be heartbreaking to leave all of this behind especially as my eldest thrives on her routine. But I know that I'll do everything I can to find the right groups for my two. You may find http://www.buggybuddys.com.au helpful to meet up with mummys too and hope to meet up with you all in October once we get out there :-)

Aw yeah, well I was moved over to Perth at the age if thirteen and I have been back and forth. But now have decided to stay in aus. It will be difficult for the first six months, my partners brother, wife and two young kids came out a year ago they found it really hard but now they have settled and met lots of new people. I think it is also easier for younger children to adapt as my sister at the age of nine when she was moved over settled in alot sooner than my eldest sister and I. Plus you have the forums, different groups and social media to meet new people and find out things!

My sons three in september and we aren't in any play groups but I have started to take him to the creche whilst I go to the gym so that's a start. I'm a bit anxious about meeting new mums and groups as I have had bad experiences in the past of clicky groups... So with me its just getting past the fear of the unknown really and just do it.
