Guest Guest6235
We are on a similar timeframe to yourselves. We fly on the 29th July with Singapore. Have you ever used them before - any reports? Ive heard they are very good We're also staying in rockingham to start Good luck with everything Personal choice I guess but we've flown with Singapore in 2008 the 1st time we went to NZ and they were brilliant, this is compared to Emirates who I've flown with twice, 1st time was in 2003 to Brisbane and the 2nd time was to Mauritius in 2009. We didn't really like Emirates for various reasons. The Singapore airlines staff were so friendly and helpful and I also preferred their plane. As I say personal choice. I think my favourite airline we've flown with though are still air NZ.....Staff as friendly as. Edited June 2, 2014 by Guest6235
Lou8670
I know carry on luggage is 7kg each, and I think it's limited to one piece each. We've got 2 laptops to take and they're both going in our hand luggage. I've got cabin size cases so we can all take a change of clothes and some toiletries to freshen up at Singapore. Other than toys for my youngest I don't know what else we'll want with us? We fly out on 31st July from Heathrow. When do you plan on going? X Handy tip...it's one piece of hand luggage weighing a max of 7kg but you can take on as much shopping as you like! The amount of people I saw checking in with a carry on case and shopping bags and who's to say what shopping you have in them!?!

We've never flown with them before but my friend from Melbourne won't fly with anyone else. I've read lots of good things about them, as the question about airlines comes up quite a lot. I've been know to be asleep before the wheels leave the runway before so I'm not too nervous about the flight... Just hoping there's that the children enjoy it ;-)

no1mum
Hi we flew in march with a 40kg allowance pp, in addition to this was 7kg small bag/case per person AND 1 piece of handluggage each. we took 2 laptops in bags and a larger handbag. fine with airport trollies. the problem was at perth. managed to squeeze it all into an estate taxi with us 3 adults and driver. be aware though, because you have this extra allowance, they can hit u hard if you are over any of the weigh ins. another tip is, hats, scarfs etc just wear them, and they don't weigh yr coat, so u can stick as much as u want in yr pockets lol. ali
It's the baggage handlers that restrict the weight of each bag to 32kg. Singapore Airlines now have a baggage allowance of 30kg or 40kg if your travelling on an unvalidated visa. I've seen people have to re-distribute weight into other cases at check in ... you can have 40kg but not more than 32kg in a case - so it means at least 2 cases for the allowance.
