portlaunay
Hi and welcome to PP. There are a couple of meetups planned, the soonest on the 29th in Applecross if you're mobile? What age are your kids? If it's grown up company you seek then there have been a few city pub meetups. A word of caution, I think PP is a pretty friendly place but it might not be a good idea to post up your full name and FB details, the whole world can see that. no1mum
Hi Shelly123, being lonely is the hardest thing with a new area. A few of us "oldies" have got together for some Saturday nights out in the city, just for a drink and chat. It started being arranged for older friendless people lol, but last meet ages from 19 to 50+ there. Generally a good night and last meet some ladies came on own as husbands working, so not intimidating. We are a friendly bunch. A few of us extended this to the odd coffee morning or lunch, so a good starting point. If you fancy pm me and I will advise of next meet or tap into the thread "oldies". I live near Joondalup and happy to meet for coffee but I do work part time and am a little older than you. I have only been here 3 months and found the best thing is to be brave and just get out there and meet people. I initially only went on this site one evening, responded to two threads and made over 20 friends from it. x Hi yes I have a car and my kids are 8 5 and 3. shelly123
Hi thanks the reply. I would love a night out with a few drinks and maybe new friends but I must admit the thought of meeting loads of people at once is abit scary! I keep telling my self to be brave but it's hard. If ur going out for coffee in a smaller group I will definitely come.
no1mum
Hi Shelly 123, I tend not to work Mondays and Fridays, so either of those good for you drop me a line with dates. Can't do until next fri pm at earliest as got commitments for tomorrow and Monday already. Have another couple of friends who are more available as don't work, so perhaps we could meet for a coffee at Hillarys or Lakeside Joondalup, and it not be quite so scary.? Hi thanks the reply.
