linda@no9
Long story short. Move in rental nov 2012. Palm in back 2 dead leaves 1 half dead. 1 month later total death of palm. owner visits 18 months later wants palm replaced says it's a 4 m high Kentia ( approx $3,000 in value) take photos from pr report along with photo measurement of trunk to palm expert who states palm had fungus ans was beyond saving and palm not kentia but Bangalo ( approx $250) convey this info to agent. Owner agrees on height but insists (without proof palm is expensive kentia and wants report) we we provide report and now owner wants second opinion. Its ridiculous!!! They have the report but not good enough!! roll on ext week when we move in to our own home!!
Sideshowdeb
I'm sorry to hear this. It's a horrible feeling when someone is trying to rip you off. I wouldn't have thought about taking photos of the condition of the plants but I will now. Hope you get it sorted and good luck for the move! portlaunay
Get some advice, stand your ground and make them realise you're going to fight it. A lot of them rely on the belief that expats are simple, gullible and afraid. Contact REIWA, (http://reiwa.com.au/About/Pages/What-does-Reiwa-do.aspx), write a formal letter of complaint and start looking for another place. Build a case, keep all your evidence and if it gets to the stage where you've moved out and they withhold your bond then write to the bond administrator and include all of your evidence. elfie
We a problem of a dead patch on the back lawn. Have tried everything to get the bloody couch grass to grow every fungicide pesticide lawn beetle deterrent etc fertilizer. It grows in border but not on this patch. I have receipts photo copies also of everything we have bought from Bunnings to try get this patch to regrow. I am beginning to think the large tree at the end of gardens roots are interfering with it plus the patch is in line with this tree. Hope this problem gets resolved for you Linda. Totally agree, we stood our ground over a break lease issue and took them to court, they settled out of court in the end but they treated us as if we didnt know our stuff. Druid
We got an e mail off Ray White when we moved out, thanking us for leaving the rental in such good shape, we still struggled for three months to get the bond back, in the end we had to contact the Bond Administrator at the Dept of Commerce to get it sorted out, Ray Whites excuse, they kept forgetting, what a bunch of jerks.
