Akasully2
Hi, just an update on the schools.... Our boys have been at a state primary for 2 weeks in Hillarys (our catchment school) and are absolutely loving it. In the UK they attended a very small C of E school and a high achieving secondary school (both state). I too worried what it would be like to uproot them for their friends and drop them into a new routine on the other side of the world. They have adapted brilliantly and are very happy. We have sorted out the high school too as my son is year 7 now and due to start high school in Feb 2015. I have only heard fantastic things about the place. The area is 'quite well to do' and feels wonderfully safe and respectable. The neighbours have introduced themselves already and wave enthusiastically at us as they drive past. I feel very lucky to have chosen a lovely area with excellent free state schools close by. All I can say to you is do your research. That is all I did, every night research, research, research. It pays off. You will find something that suits you, just get a wish list together but keep an open mind. Some places that I was convinced I wanted settle in were way off once we got here. However, we have chosen to make Hillarys our home and that area or at least the surrounding area was on our must see/consider list. Don't fret too much, keep an open mind but do the research! Good luck.
