cocolevi
Hi welcome to pp , first thing you need to do is to see if your jobs are on the sol or csol then see what sort if visa you could apply for good luck x

gar374
Hi, Even if you have no intention of using a visa agent, it would be well worth while asking them about the process. They're usually more than happy to go through things with you. I think we must have asked over a hundred questions before making any proper decisions. verystormy
Hi and welcome. The first thing to do is a lot of reading. Immi.gov.au is essential. You need to calculate your points and it is important you get that correct as if you over claim even one point, the visa is refused and you lose the fees. An expensive mistake. Most people find they also need ILETS for the points and if so, I would get some revision material and start revising. You would need to book this prior to submitting the eoi - if claiming ILETS points then you need to get them before you do the eoi. There is a visa wizard on the immi site that will also help guide you as to which visa will be best. Do some research a well on working as a plumber as you will need to do some re-training once you get here.

Roadhouse
Hello everyone. I would like to migrate to Perth with my wife and two daughters. Don't know where to start. Any advice will be much appreciated. Thank you. Hi kaboo, welcome. To the pps im not sure when and where the next one will be held but if you hear of a 'wanted down under fair' coming ,then I'd most definitely book tickets. It was about 10 pound each for me and OH and kids came free. It was well worth the visit, back then we needed a way to start the ball rolling too and that definitely did. There were free points assessments, people to book you on ielts , open bank accounts, show you jobs vacant ,absolutely everything. And yes a lot of agencies that want you to use them for your visa. We done it alone but got ALOT of info out of them before we did Time we left we had bank account open ready to start sending money each money giving us a ' credit rating ' over there once we moved, as you loose that moving from England, so showing you can be reliable each month in paying money is a little help start. We were lucky the wanted down under came right to us in Newcastle , but we would have traveled for it. I hope you get paperwork started soon and get things going as it has been a long 1.5 year waiting for us ,and we are finally leaving 29th July. Good luck with everything. joanne
