aligard
Just thought I'd mention about our Dyson vacuum. We've had it around 6 going on 7 years now. Thought to ourselves, is it worth taking or do we buy a new one when we arrive in Sunny Perth. Well after looking at how much the same vacuum would cost us in Perth ( WOW ALOT !! ) we found out you can have your vacuum serviced for £79.99. The price includes any parts, filters and labour plus you get a 1 year warranty also. We booked and fitter came, a really friendly guy, he replaced about every part on the vacuum apart from the engine so we now have a more or less new vacuum again....so I'd totally recommend

elfie
Only last week my dyson goddess died sheer and utter panic. Hubby away or Mr Fix It. I went to Godfreys and bought an cheap upright for $200 I have to say its not a dyson goddess but its pretty darn good folks. Its the home hero and certainly saved me for the 2 weeks Mr Fix It is away. I have to hoover twice a day with the dog shedding presently plus I need to hoover her bed daily. It will become a garage hoover when Mr Fix it comes home next week for the cars ......... http://www.godfreys.com.au/vacuum-cleaners/vacuum-cleaner-types/upright/home-hero-upright
Lou8670
All prices in Perth are negotiable! Never pay the ticket price. We gave our Dyson away before we came. We'd had it 10 years and it kept going through a spell of whining! We've just bought a Miele from Good Guys in the EoFY sales. We got a really good deal and decided on a Miele as I was quite impressed with my Aunts which we used just before we left the UK.
stu4668
I want one of those robotic hoovers to leave in the open plan area in addition to manually operated hoovers
Nikkis2000
Stu - Do you have some kind of hoover fetish??!!!
stu4668
Stu - Do you have some kind of hoover fetish??!!! I suppose I do Niiki!!! In the UK we had an upstairs Dyson DC14, a downstairs Dyson DC41, a Kitchen Handheld Dyson DC31 and a Henry garage Hoover. I quite enjoy hoovering (probably not normal for a guy!!) but must admit I am slightly OCD on cleanliness. Everyone to their own I suppose A friend of mine has one of those robotic ones roaming around his open plan area while he is out. portlaunay
We bought a Miele at the weekend too. I was instructed to get one with controls in the handle and the only place I could find it was at the Miele store on the Stirling Highway. No discount but they gave us about a years supply of bags and filters and the kids came away with bars of Miele branded chocolate (pretty darn lovely actually)
nikkiwd
I've seen those robotic ones in the hover shop in Whitfords, are they any good? We have a big central kitchen/dining/hall that is tiled but bedroms and lounge are carpet and all off the central area, do you think it would find its way out the lounge and through the famly room to all the bedrooms? Sideshowdeb
Saw a picture online where the family pet (dog I think?) had had an accident and the robotic Hoover had run it over, and continued on its program.... The possibility of coming home from work to that kind of put me off for life! Also, I took our Dysons apart, almost down to the 'engine'. Cleaned them thoroughly and threw away the filters. Boxed them up with new filters still in their packets and added a few extra sprays of Jeyes fluid for luck. In a few weeks I'll find out if I've saved myself a packet or cost us a huge fine..?! ? Sideshowdeb
But on the flip side there's always this.... That's all fun and games until Tiddles does a whoopsie in the utility 5 minutes after you've left for work... Also what kind of drugs do you have to slip into its food to get it to wear a shark outfit? My old cat was lush but if I'd tried to make him wear that I've have needed a plastic surgeon! ?
