Lou8670 Posted July 27, 2014 Report Share Posted July 27, 2014 (edited) You're best to take out migration travel insurance as normal travel insurance won't cover your travel to Australia. When you arrive register with Medicare as soon as you get here. The only cover we took out was ambulance cover. You can do this online with HBF or Bupa Australia etc and then once you have found work you can decide if and what private cover you want to take out.
