Got used to them being on the right after 9 years of driving a Mazda and a Toyota. My 16 year old has just bought a VW Golf and driving it home yesterday was hilarious, wipers were going mental!! Wipers on the right is generally from cars from Europe. They don't bother to swap them when the wheel housing is moved over as it's too expensive. In a right hand drive car, the indicators are on the right, so you can change gear, and indicate at the same time. As we are mainly local, or Japanese cars here (who also drive on the correct side of the road) most the cars are setup correctly.
