We're both qualified accountants although OH hates counting for a living so works in property for City of Perth.

@Akasully2 would you believe I have a degree in Textile Technology?! I worked as a buyer in London for a year before I moved to Jersey and fell into investments and accountancy. I miss the creative side though; creative and accounting don't really mix :jiggy:

@Lou8670 that is a big change. I love be able to work in an area where I can inspire others and encourage them to discover their own creativity and see the world with a sense of 'awe and wonder'. It is very rewarding. However, I'm always thinking though of other types of work I could do that would satisfy me in other ways. I've thought of making things and selling them, just need to get my finger out and do it. Just don't want to sit at a stall all day making a pittance. An internet based outlet would be better. Saying that though, I have even considered changing altogether and being a dog groomer (feeling broody for a dog) but the market seems flooded and the training would be expensive.

I wouldn't say that, I like 'creative' accountants when it comes to tax time :biglaugh:, BTW my better half is an Accountant working in marketing for the COP

Druid you stole my answer, I do accounts for our own business and "creative accounting" is my speciality lol

However - mid life crisis, after 17 years in Perth moved to Zambia last week to work as the only ed psych in the country and learning support teacher at an International school! Perth still home though, will be back a couple of times a year.
