North Yunderup - what's it like?

Hi Everyone,

We may have the chance to rent and possibly buy a house in North Yunderup which is an area we had never considered even looking due to the commuting into the city.

Does anyone know what this area is like to live? We want somewhere with a small community feel, close to nice scenic walks, the beach but not too far from a town. Looking on google earth etc it looks lovely. My husband is in Perth now and is going to check the house and area out at the weekend.

Anyone know how it is for commuting into the CBD - I presume train is the way to go?

Thanks everyone

Its about a 15 minute drive to Mandurah train station, then 50 minutes on the train to the CBD. There is now a bus service which goes through North Yunderup to Mandurah train station. The beach is the other side of Mandurah so you will always have to drive to one.

As for North Yunderup, its quiet and not a lot there, but if you get a house that is on the river then in my opinion, very nice...but do be aware that the mozzies will be there.
