What a waste a time ringing Santander up asking if they had issues transferring larger sums of money through companies such as HIFX & Moneycorp....she had never heard of them. I said I thought you may of heard of them as you work for a bank....I may aswell of asked my Mum.

The problem i have with santander is when i set up to do internet banking and money transfers they ask you for your mobile phone number whilst still in the UK, well when i moved to Aus, without thinking and forgetting about santander, i got myself an aussie phone and cancelled my uk contract, then came the problem, when you do a big transfer, they text you a code, you then have to put this code into the online transfer form.......... See the problem, i dont have the uk phone anymore and oh i have tried to fix the problem over the phone to the call centre, but they cant put the +61 into there system yet........ They are working on it, so now i just send the money to my barclays, then send it on again to HIfx

I might have to send it to my wife's HSBC or do it straight from my original account where my money comes from, it's here I usually forward to santander from. The small amount I did last night went ok.

Sending money from Aus to santander is easy with Hifx, once you are set up the day is booked and it all goes to plan smoothly and quickly and once again no fees from santander, what hifx say they going to send in ££££ turns up the same amount
