We are not a 100% sure, it all really depends on my job but can't make contact until we know when we are arriving....we have no children so don't need to be located near schools etc...we would prefer a more rural location as we have two large dogs so would love a little bit of land. Looking at a recent post on here the rental market is looking much better than a few months ago so fingers crossed we won't have any problems finding a place.....then look at hopefully buying / building our own place. How about you?

Hi friends,

I will be moving to WA on 5 Feb 2015. However, I need to live and work in regional areas outside Perth. I have not chosen the area yet as it depends on job availability. My wife is suggesting me to first settle in Mandurah city and find a job anywhere in WA.

Hi Arash.. good to hear from you. I have been to Mandurah city in 2011. Its a nice place and just 1 hr away from Perth city (via train). I will let you know my contact number once i reach Australia. Please drop your email id as well.

Try meeting good people in Mandurah, (i did meet an australian lady nurse in 2011 and stayed at her place for 3 days)

Hi Arvind.

Welcome me to the forum. Tell us more about yourself. Where are you moving to? have you got work lined up yet?

i have worked in China so love to speak to people from there. Where in China are you from?

Hi "verystormy". Thanks for your welcome.

I am basically from India but working in China from last 6 years. Its been a very tough decision for me to leave China (almost took 2 years) and move to Perth.. I am looking for jobs as toolmaker (to be precise : CNC machinist) (fingers crossed). How long did you work in China and which city? I am in Shenzhen.

Hi Kermit : It seems a good plan. I will probably live in Perth city (near central) for 2 weeks, so that i could finish all documentation work (such as driving license, banks, tax no. & contact job agents). After finishing all these formalities, find a casual job (4-5 Hrs/day) to survive and side by side start looking for occupation relevant jobs. Lets keep in touch and plan to meet after reaching Australia.
