Nic964
Hi like you we rented to start with so got a standalone wifi modem, so that we could connect multiple devices. We only used it as you say for facebook / skype etc. It worked well for us, we generally spent around $30/month, which isnt alot in reality. We had one from Virgin, and just topped it up as required. There are plenty of options out there. Nick
Druid
Go to Dick Smith (aussie Currys) buy a Vivid ViviFi, take it home and call them to set up your account, within 20 minutes you can have unlimited broadband with resonable speeds, not great spreeds, but enough for two people to be on skype at the same time, half the price of telstra or vodafone and its completely rechargable and portable, can connect up to 5 devices, just check the coverage first, some parts of Mandurah arent covered
jen140977
Hi , we have been here for 7/8 weeks and loving it!! we bought a portable modem to use the internet in our 'holiday' rental( form telesta). now we have moved to a long term lease we have gone with telestra again. some people say it is more expensive but to honest we were so tired of sorting everything else (driving lesince, schools, long term rental) I didn't mind paying over the odds to be connected within a week. we have gone with the unlimited option and calls to UK for 150 a month, might seem expensie to some but worth it to us to stay in touch with family and let kids use computers with out worrying. Where are you heading to?? let us know if you are south of the river and we can help in any way, jen
