Laz
I'm having a clear out of the house we're staying in (loads of junk in the garage and shed) but I don't know how to get rid of the rubbish. It's not stuff for recycling and there are none of those tip passes available that you get with your rates notice. I just wonder where you take general, non recyclable rubbish!? I am looking at getting a skip but that seems quite a costly way to go. Thanks!
verystormy
Have you got a verge clearance due?

Weedolly
Where are you? There is a tip up before Clarkson, take stuff there, its not expensive
flatpack
That tip is called Tamala Park and it's open all weekend, probably the only thing in Perth that is
Laz
Thanks...I'll try Tamala. I'm not in that area so hope I can still use it.
Walkabout
There is also one in Balcatta, you can look them up on the websites and check costs, be aware that they do it by weight and it can be pretty pricey, we decided it was still (just about!) cheaper than a skip though! How does the weighing thing work if I have the rubbish in my boot? Do we drive onto a weighbridge as we go in/out?
Laz
I looked up the site and it says the cost is $45.10 (min) under 300kg. Sorry if this is an obvious question, but does that mean I should get a big car and fill it as much as I can? It's probably not loads of rubbish I need to get rid of, but it's too much to get rid of via that tiny green bin every fortnight.

dxboz
If you are a tenant you can check with your local Council if you can get a discounted one - take in your lease agreement. Not all Councils send them out automatically to ratepayers. There is a tip in Shenton Park. Cost is approx $60 for a trailer load
