GKKL
Hi all, finally things are starting to head in the right direction for my family and I, after literally years of wanting to make the move, lots of ups and downs, we have finally started the process! albeit in the very early stages. We are a family of 4, 2 kids age 6 and 2, I am an adult trained nurse and my husband is a barber. We are visiting Perth for 3 weeks this year and just about to book flights however I am looking for some advice regarding the time we have picked to visit. We are aiming for the last 3 weeks in october, is this a time you would recommend? We wish to avoid the very hot season as plan on doing alot of sightseeing/driving to and from different suburbs etc and with 2 young kids they are likely to get a bit crabby if its too hot, we do however still want it warm enough to be able to spend time at the beach/park etc. thankyou

We also have kids the same age! I have been many times, just got back also from 3 weeks Personally (and people might have a different opinion) I like December, the locals say it starts to properly warm up in the 1st or 2nd week in Dec but we landed on the 7th and was straight in shorts, thats my view anyway, I'm sure other people will respond with their opinion You'll also find that early Dec is just about the last time to book flights before the prices go crazy! Hope this helps Richard
verystormy
October is nice, but still a good chance of rain and cool to cold days. http://www.bom.gov.au/climate/averages/tables/cw_009225.shtml november is likely to be better. kimeri
We went last year for a reccie end of September beginning of October with the family. We have had some very nice days, but couldn't really enjoy the beach or the pool. Nice temperature to visit and walk around though. A month later will be warmer. I went alone 3 years ago in December. It was definitely hotter. November should be nice...
GKKL
Sorry just realised discussing school holidays may not be allowed therefore I've deleted my post, I a going to speak with the school and likely book end of November/start of December. Have found a flight with Emirates for £2100 for the 4 of us which I think is great! Thankyou all Edited January 20, 2015 by GKKL
portlaunay
Your husband's a barber? A proper barber? Can he shave too? Oh please, please, please open a decent old fashioned style barbers. There are some here but they're a little too old fashioned if you know what I mean. Then there's a trendy one in the CBD that's just too pretentious, full of gorgeous people who can't shave themselves, let alone someone else. I really do miss a decent hot towel shave, I was so spoilt having an amazing place so close to where I used to live.
