elfie
Have to agree with Arwen here Elfie - and why on earth would you think that my knowledge on the subject was limited - you do not know anything about me - this in fact is not the case. Anyway I wish you well and hope you find like minded people to yourself The fact I mentioned the word pagan, your reply mentioned Wicca. This is just one path the more modern that most people have heard of. Possible reply may have enquired what path I followed hence my reply of limited knowledge. Akasully2
I think you will find I did not mention the word shallow Shallow -- having little depth Inane --senseless Drivel - senseless talk But come to mention it yea perhaps your description is much better. Is it that wrong to state a feeling emotion that I as a person have a different interests paths that is not the stereotypically the "norm" for females? Thankfully I do not fall into the typical stereotype of a female then has served me well over the years ::sigh:: your comment on As for Wicca and Seagrass as I have to say did make me chuckle some what. Can also state I am not anti social possibly just particular of the company I chose to associate with would be a better description. Obviously you are one of the females that did take umbrage to my post so be it. Who said I was female?? (Ok, you know I am!). Taking umbrage...mmmm? No. —noun offense; annoyance; displeasure: to feel umbrage at a social snub; to give umbrage to someone; to take umbrage at someone's rudeness. the slightest indication or vaguest feeling of suspicion, doubt, hostility, or the like. My thoughts are that it is quite laughable, certainly makes entertaining reading. Bit sad and lonely though too. You seem to have cut yourself off, from what you say. My comments were meant to be constructive. Yes, I am female but I don't consider myself to be someone who has inane thoughts and interests or talks drivel. I don't read 'Hello' magazine, own a poodle or get my nails done. Therefore, IMO, I am not the target audience you are referring to. However, I think you can come across as dismissive and rude to most women and that in itself will put up huge barriers between you and everyone else. Why assume they all bake cakes? Well, actually I do (haha) but I also have made candles, made fresh soap using lye, Striped furniture, gone fishing and clubbed the fish to death before gutting it and cooking it. What I'm trying to say, is that most people don't fit into a nice square 'one size fits all' box. If you don't want to mix with women, why don't you sign up on a more typically masculine course? Brick laying, woodwork or even a non gender specific one on how to use commas in writing? Now that really would be helpful. FOL
I have/had/will have problems making friends as well. Mainly because the things I enjoy are often done solo. Anyway, I remember someone saying: just hook up with people and go to their birthday parties and barbies. Maybe it's not them whom you ultimately befriend, but you mert their circle of friends whom you get introduced to. that'll cost a lot of energy though (at least for me), but could make a difference. verystormy
Guys. A word "putting my mod hat on". Please stay away from getting towards insults. I really do not want to brush the dust of the infraction button (I can't remember the last time it was used). But, if we have to we can.
