nollie
Are there any of you intending/arrivals to Perth that have had medicals recently. We live in Dorset and was wondering where the closest centre approved by the Australia Embassy was. Just hope we don't have to go to Manchester or somewhere up the other end of the country. thanks in advance

hibster76
We also lived in Dorset and found that the closest/best price was the Spire Hospital in Windsor. We planned to combine it with a visit to the Castle, but the Irish President was visiting and the whole place was in lockdown. But it took most of the day for the 5 of us anyway. Today I read a newspaper report here for a new British Cafe run by a couple from Dorset and the reviewer said that all people from Dorset speak with a pirate accent! Made me chuckle. Good luck. Chanonica
On the topic of Medicals (sorry to butt in) can anyone tell me what checks are involved? Is it blood tests and xray's? Is blood taken from kids or just adults? Thanks for any info.

Chanonica
Thanks Swimwiththedolphins - that's the info we received too, also for our 189 (exciting times!!!!) Our medicals are on April 10th, when are yours? Its that bit there "no info given" that has me a bit baffled. My boy is 6 years old and I really don't know what to expect for him. Just questions on his medical history perhaps?
gar374
our wee boy Danny is 5 - and we're on a 189. They took a history for him, got him to read an eyesight chart, looked in his eyes, ears, node and throat. Urine sample but no blood test or chest xray. Really nothing to worry about. good Luck G
Chanonica
Thanks Gar374 for that info, I'll make sure he has lots to drink.

When I asked for the next available one she even had some for the next day!
