Digital / Cable Tv?

Hi,

we have just secured our first rental in Applecross and just looking into internet and Tv...lots of mixed reviews on here but can't find any recent comments so thought I'd ask the question....I think we have chosen to go for Vivid wireless unlimited for $79 a month but not sure whether it's worth getting cable or digital tv?

not really interested in sports we don't have any little ones so would just be movies and discovery channels, series etc .....

what do people reccomend?

thanks in advance

We managed with the free view for a 12 mth was adamant I wasn't having foxtel but caved in. Free view is poor there's only a few channels there are lots of shopping channels. Foxtel does not have the amount of channels that sky has. Give free view a go see how you get on it might be enough for you.

Is Foxtel the equivalent of Sky? what are the main differences between them when it comes to packages, what you get and cost?

Yes Foxtel is very similar to SKY! Some of the sporting events are acutally broadcast by Sky overseas, but shown here on Foxtel, google Foxtel AU and have a look for yourself, like everything in Aus, Foxtel is more expensive than Sky, the free to air digital TV is dire, so if you watch a lot of Sky, you going to struggle without, and the internet based TV doesnt work either unless you have good internet, but thats another story..............
