Scotty
Hi, I have been trying to find answers to the below but not getting far . Would really appreciate some help if anyone can. We will be applying for a 189 visa for myself and my partner will be on my visa. For defacto relationship do our statements about our relationship have to be on a specific form or anything? Do they have to be witnessed? What declaration statement should we use on our statements? Can we type them or do they have to be hand written? are there any other forms that need to be submitted for defacto on 189 visa? Do the statements made by partners and family have to be on a special form and witnessed? I have come across form 888 but I believe that is only for people in Australia (we are in UK. Any help would be much appreciated.
swimwiththedolphins
Hi We are applying for a 189 visa. Myself (a teacher) as the lead applicant and my partner will be on my visa too. For proof of our defacto relationship our agent requested photographs from all the years we had been together (including family members), a written and signed statement (although not witnessed) from each person about how we met and we had to send in scans of things like joint bank accounts, mortgages etc. I think the more evidence you have, the better. swimwiththedolphins
They requested a series of photographs of us together over the 7 years we have been together, as this is more evidence of our relationship. As well as photographs of just the two of us they said to send photographs of the two of us with family too. Not sure why. Our agent requested more official documents than anything such as mortgage paperwork and joint bank statements.
