Nutnudger
Now some people complain about living in Perth and how it’s a pain to get things here because things have to come from over east and I haven’t really come across anything that I wanted sooo badly that I minded waiting, Until today that is,,,, So this morning I was heading out of the house to work and before I left I give my glasses a quick clean and snap they break across the nose section:mad:, now I don’t normally wear contact lenses but I had some spare from the UK so popped them in and off I go to work, so I started ringing around to see if I could get in for an eye test (it’s been just over two years) I have asked each one of them how quickly can I get my classes telling them I have broken my only set. Two weeks – I could fly to the UK and get them and come back again in half the time not very happy PS – I don’t have a spare set because the last time I got some new ones I got a set of sun-glasses Edited April 2, 2015 by Nutnudger fat fingers, and no glasses LOL
Druid
Spec savers are normally pretty quick here in Perth, last time I needed new sunglasses in a hurry i had the eye test and ordered them thursday, saturday I was back picking them up, they do make lenses here in Perth, so I suppose its down to how busy the lens maker is, if you pick a popular optician that only uses one lens maker, it going to take longer, specsavers can also normally repair frames pretty quickly as well
portlaunay
Cambodia! Mrs p had her eyes tested when we were there and bought two new sets of glasses and two prescription sunnies and the whole lot was less than $150. I realise it doesn't get you out of the immediate clag but with flights for around $500 you can have a great holiday, book a trip to a world class dentist and get your eyes sorted for a bargain price and the service and facilities are outstanding.
