PerthRose
first time posting a message so please bear with me, I'm an aussie aged 50, my boyfriend is a 55yr old Englishman, we have travelled back and forth for 3 years but we would like to make things more permanent and him move out here. Working visas seem to apply to under 50 yr olds, what visa.s does he need to obtain to come out here, he is a truckie ( sorry lorry driver) also is there a certain amount of money we need in the bank, I find the immigration website confusing and not sure what visas we even should be looking at. thanks for any advice, cheers
portlaunay
Welcome to PP. Sorry, I've no idea about visas but I'd advise talking to a registered migration agent, they'll be able to give you a break down of your options.

verystormy
The obvious question would be if you are going to consider marriage? In which case a prospective marriage visa may be an option. However, there are no visas for just boyfriend / girlfriend relationships. It it is worth discussing with a good migration agent. Ian mentioned above is very good but is now part of Go Matilda.
