domone
We have just come back from the trip to the newsagents with a hefty bill for our kids pens, pencils, hand sanitizer, kitchen roll! Etc. We have been told to label everything. Question is - do they take ALL ten pencils, 7 workbooks etc on first day. And do we have to label every flippin pencil? Or is the box enough? Gonna need an suv to take them to school with all of it [emoji2] TIA
Chanonica
Are these very specific pencils and pens --I was hoping to buy stationary over here cheaper and bring them over...maybe not? Can all the school books / workbooks be bought in one shop or is there a lot of hopping to and fro to be done? Sorry I'm only answering your question with more questions. Walkabout
For our school everyone in year 1 and above labels everything (yes every pencil - its a pain!!). Generally yes you take everything in on the first day, if they are older you dont have to send everything in (although many do) and you will be sent a note when something needs replacing. I am not sure if every school is the same, I think they are all similar but possibly have different quirks, the school will be happy to tell you if you ask them. Enjoy! @Chanonica they do tend to specify specific pencils and books, think the books probably need to be the ones they ask for but I am sure the pencils and pens wouldnt matter too much as long as they are the correct size and HB / colour etc.
Weedolly
Depends on what the school wants. The primary school my daughter went to, you just took the whole lot in on the first day and it was just put in the store cupboard as stock and the kids all shared everything. SJT
At my daughter's school you take it all in, and they keep it in their own desk drawers. To be honest all I did was write her initials on everything with a permanent cd marker and still do their clothers that way too.
domone
All done today. It seems to be a mixture of store cupboard to share and individually assigned.
