JaseandAnne
Hi, Can anyone who has arrived in the last year or so give a run down of the costs of things that no one has really thought of? We all expect to pay for Rent, hire car and health insurance but what about one off things we in the UK wouldn't have thought about? Ive a few friends who have emigrated and they have said that when you first arrive you just haemorrhage money, but what on?? They never really said and Ive never asked so thought I would. verystormy
Will you have all your furnishings? If not, then you may need to buy things Long term rental deposit and rent.Particularly if you dont have jobs lined up, you might have to pay several months in advance. If you have children, there will be all sorts to buy. Once the hire car goes back, you will have to buy a car. Getting around, looking for your long term rental eats money - Perth is very spread out. You will probably want to do some of the tourist things - all cost money You will need mobile phones and likely some means of using the internet - ipad or something.
