Victoriwa
We're slowly wading through the migration process and so as to get a real feel for the place, myself, my partner and our 2 year old son, are looking to visit Perth for 4 (or so) weeks at the end of this year... But that dream isn't going to be cheap if we look to book into a hotel! So, does anyone know of any alternatives available? We'd be willing to explore all alternatives available! Many thanks in advance ? V x
verystormy
Your not going to get anything cheap - it is the height of summer and main tourist season. Flights will also be at a premium.
ali
Have a look on Stayz - but as it's the summer/school holidays you may find that a lot of accommodation is already booked - if you're not set in the dates you have to travel, beginning of Feb (when the kids go back to school) would be a better bet
Victoriwa
Thank you chaps... Starting to realise that prices at that time of year are at a premium - let's take another look at that travel diary!

verystormy
Hot isn't a problem... You would be surprised. There is a good reason why a lot of beaches are deserted by lunch time and people are sat in the air con.

I'm not a stranger to Christmas in Aus (I spent a year on a working holiday visa), and in any case, ensuring a toddler gets his midday nap will keep us out of the peak of heat. Nicos7
If you can wait until xmas or boxing day to fly out then flights will be cheaper than other days around that time. We found somewhere to stay on airbnb, was difficult though but we didn't start looking until end of Sept!
