Using an agent

Recommended Posts

Hello, we are now ready to start our visa application for a contributing parent visa, which is a rather large amount of money!

My question to anyone is - what advantage is there for using an agent to assist with the visa application? I have been in contact with Go Matilda but am unsure as to the benefit ??

Any advice gratefully received - thank you

I did my own for contrib parent visa, ok and will save you and pay for police/health checks. Just remember to do form 80 at time of appic. Waited 22 mths for Case Officer, have activated my visa, now back in uk, sold house and off in Oct. Happy to help in you need more along the way. Ray, Bradford.

Hi Ray,?

Several questions please!

You mention Form 80, on the paperwork i have there is no mention of completing and attaching form 80 with the application?

Did you apply for the Contributory Parent 143?

How long after you were allocated a Case Officer did it take for your visa to come through?

Finally how excited are you to be moving in October, its so close now!

Yes, I missed this when sending application and then received request for form 80, it's a basically repeating similiar stuff if I remember correctly. Yes, I'm on a 143 Contrib visa and waited 22 months for Case Officer to be appointed.

Yep, really exited, we are retiring, off to Mandurah, have already activated visa in May and now sold house here. Land purchased and just need to sort build out so plenty happening. Good luck with it - I don't mind questions having been there! Ray

Thank you Odies, there are going to be heaps of questions, how have you found it so far in Oz?

hi, we also did a 143 visa. We have today received the keys to our house and had the container arrive , so excited and shattered at the same time. We have found winter to be very pleasant ,easy to change over to Oz documents and travel very easy to get around. The news is very different seems lots of crime and cars driving into houses but with not a lot to report it does seem to be different, but much better than listening to immigration etc. We are enjoying it and really looking forward to spring/summer and love being part of the grandchildrens life.

Hello Ray,

I imagine you are very busy at the moment with your pending move! I am preparing everything in order to start my application form and have a couple of questions please

1 Is there any advantage to putting my daughters address in Perth down on the form to receive correspondence?

2 On the form there is a question have you previously been to Australia, do you just enter the last time you went? or as we have visited several times do i have to list each visit?

3 When you paid for the visa with the application did you use a card or transfer the money?

Thank you Ray
