rpakey
Hopefully its not a silly question... because I am nearly 40, I will need some professional help, you see I don't really want to be mixed with young kids as I find it a tad embarrassing (which is unusual for me, as I have lots of 'life' experience!) Where can I go and get 1 on 1 tuition and not have a bunch of people laughing at me? Richard

Scot01
Depends where you live but there will be lots of places that run classes just for adults. I know adults who have had private lessons in their pool at home. I'd asked at your local pool and if you are near a Uni then ask at their leisure centre. Richard Most public pools will offer 1 to 1 classes though not exactly cheap. You can get qualified swim instructors for cheaper on gumtree and they'll train at your local pool or in your own pool. My local community pool regularly holds adult classes and I see adults from all sorts of background learning to swim. I find that more and more adults(migrants) take up swimming lessons to truly enjoy the outdoors here.
