Andy7
Hi Guys, landing back in Perth on Tuesday and will be on the search for a carpentry job. I will be living in Joondalup so preferably with a house/home builder based around that area. Previously lived down in mandurah where I was working for a local builder on various government projects around WA. If anybody on hear has had any home renovations done or are Builders themselves, would be great to hear from you. I have got tools, transport and as mentioned above WA experience. Cheers Andy. biscuits72
Hi Andy, Can't help you on the job front although my hubby is a carpenter, we are in Adelaide at the mo. Just interested that you lived in Mandurah previously but plan to go to Joondalup. Any particular reason? We have been considering the Mandurah area. Hi andy, just read your post. My husband is also a carpenter and we plan to move over in January on our pr visa. We have heard on the carpentry side of things work is slowing down. Is there much work around the city or from your experience will he find it hard to get a job? Any advice welcome xx

Just interested that you lived in Mandurah previously but plan to go to Joondalup. Any particular reason? We have been considering the Mandurah area. Hi, for us Mandurah was just too far away from the city (50mins). So if you get a job in the city it's a lot of travelling each day. Joondalup is only 25mins. We have friends in the city plus the travel time for jobs is better.

Xx hi Millie, after landing last Tuesday night, I spent last week getting over jet lag and sorting are new place out. Having looked on gumtree/ indeed/ seek there seems to be plenty of work around. All depends on what type of work you want to do and how soon you need a job. Still seems plenty of work within the city.

Still seems plenty of work within the city. thats great news, nice to hear some positivity on the job front. All we seem to be hearing when we say we're moving to Perth and my husband is a carpenter, they say work has really slowed up and has practically stopped! Hope your settling back in again
