Monkey2645 Posted October 13, 2015 Report Share Posted October 13, 2015 Hi all Arriving alone with two kids - hoping to begin my teaching masters in the new year and need to attend an interview at the university. Before I contact them to arrange a day I need to try to sort out some kind of childcare options as I don't think they'd be very impressed if I rolled up with 2 children in tow! Does anyone know of any agencies that offer babysitting on a one-off basis - or any nurseries or childminders who may have a place for one day? Happy little Vegemite Posted October 15, 2015 Report Share Posted October 15, 2015 Not sure about what sort of casual childcare options there are available for you, but I only work part time, so depending on what you organise with the uni I might be able to help you out by looking after them for you, assuming your children behave like angels at all times of course (I am by no means a child minder, but my kids have made it to the ages of 4 and 7 relatively unscathed). Of course the children are perfect at all times - they're practically topsey and Tim . But in reality I operate on a 'keep them alive and everyone's happy' mode of parenting so they're not too bad. Unfortunately the uni doesn't seem to have anything - it's Notre Dame and I think it's pretty small. I can vouch for Happy Little Vegemite having met her! Maybe we could job share...
