mwjw
Hi, Ive just started working on my own as a painter and decorator and handyman. Someone mentioned the first $17,000 is tax free, but I think I cant claim this? Any help appreciated!! Mike
flatpack
Have you ever been self employed before? The reason I ask is because your tax free allowance is a very basic element of calculating your tax burden. Of course you can claim it. I think it would be very wise for you to do some small business courses before you undertake this venture.
