RF104
Hi everybody, I have just recently moved to Perth, I'm on a working holiday visa and due to the nature of work I want to do out here (Pipe Fitter) I would probably need a car. I'm just wondering apart from the obvious price on the car what is involved in buying the car ? GR
Bibbs
Car cost +Stamp duty - One off, you'll get a bill in the post for 3% a few weeks after. You can pay it in advance, but most dealers hearing a foreign accent will "forget" this cost. +Rego - Yearly, like your annual tax. Car should have some, and there is no MOT type test as long as you keep it valid (there is a test if you let it expire). +Insurance - Not compulsory, unless you have finance on the car. You can buy on your UK licence.

Bibbs
Thanks for the response Bibbs, very helpful ! No problem. It's all fresh in the mind, as I've just gone through the process of buying, and half way through selling.
