Mrsr1976
Hi we are travelling to Perth again in the summer for another visit before moving on a 190 visa in a year or so. I would really love to meet up with any families who have recently made the big move! I am a primary teacher and my husband works in property development we have two little girls aged 7 and 4. I would love the girls to meet and speak to other children who have experienced the move, my older daughter is getting a little jittery as she understands more about how far away Australia is. I would also love to have a chat with any teachers if there are any out there who could give me any advice. We head out in July for a month and plan on looking at schools and potential areas to live. Any chance of meeting anyone would be great! Debs

Cleowag
Hi Deb. Hubby is a primary school teacher. We have been out here since Sept. PM if you want any further info, it's not proving easy for him to get a job but thankfully relief work is plentiful. We have a five year old who was very anxious about the move but he has settled fantastically. We are down in Mandurah and would be happy to meet up if you are down this way. Mrsr1976
Oh hi yes please we plan on staying south of Perth at some point. I loved mandurah when we stayed there last time! Sorry to hear it's tricky getting a permanent job, that's something that really worries me. How much experience has he got and private or state? I'm in the private sector currently and also thinking about secondary English as that's what my specialism is in. Debs

benj1980
We are also in Mandurah, we could meet up in July. We have two boys 8,3 and a girl 6. Their accents are changing now so they may seem Aussie but we only arrived in November!

Mrsr1976
Hi Lauren! That sounds great! Thanks for the offer how did you decide where to settle when you arrived it was it dependent on your jobs? What are the schools like? benj1980
That would be great! How have your children settled in? Theyve settled really well, school being the key. They have friends and activities to occupy them. They have Aussie twangs and haven't looked back!
