SteveJ
Hi there, can an you please help clarify something for me. What I'd etc is required to get aus driving licence on arrival. I know you have 3 months on PR visa etc but just wanted to know what you need etc. We may be coming over for a month to validate when it all happens and hoping to get some of that stuff sorted on that visit. Cheers steve.
verystormy
You will need a range of ID so unlikely you will be able to get it on a reccy. You will, for example, need an address and I think Medicare card were part of the ID. No no point getting it until you have made the move and have a long term rental as otherwise you would need to change the address.
ali
I agree that I would wait until you have an address as you don't get your licence right away - they send it to you.

benj1980
It took me about two months to get all the ID required together which was quite frustrating as I like to be organised, it then came within a week. One component is proof of address which presumably you won't have from a reccie?
