verystormy
Any part of WA can be affected by them, however, they tend to be short term lasting for a few weeks at a time and some years are pretty much mozzie free
Rossmoyne
Mozzies are everywhere..... you learn to live with them in Perth and learn how to deal with them. Lots of products available for personal protection - Aeroguard/Rid etc. Mossies hate citronella and sandalwood, so burn candles made of those outside. Keep flyscreens and flydoors shut to keep them out the house. If you get bad reactions to mossie bites, you will need to keep a supply of anti-histamines in your first-aid box. Having said all that, my woofer just strolled into the study and a mossie took off from his fur.... mossie now squashed on the computer screen! I don't take prisoners when it comes to mossies, and you get good at squashing the buggas after a while! This time of year though they are not usually around - early summer is the worst - and they breed in still water that doesn't have chlorination. Mossies are just a fact of life in Australia - so you get used to it and learn to deal with it.
Mands
Some areas and housing have been built on or near swamp so the incidents of nozzles is worse .. Mandurah is a prime example. Higher incidence of Ross river virus etc. but you can't escape them. Wherever you live!
