cammie
hi everyone ,whilst browsing through rental properties ive noticed that quite a few kitchens have gas bayonet so could someone please explain what this is - not that im thick lol
abc
They are usually for a gas heater, remember there is no central heating, and if the air con does do hot & cold, the only source of heat will be a portable gas heater, which need to be connected via bayonet in the wall. Bibbs
Yup, Gas heaters. A big 7 burner from Everdure is about $600 in Harvey Normans. Half that on Gumtree. Using ours every night at the moment.

flatpack
If you have gas fittings then it unlikely you have reverse cycle air con. Because the houses are designed to dissipate heat here you'll find it bloody cold at nights without a heater

I think most houses I've been in, that have been built in the last 5 years have both. But your mileage may vary.
