verystormy
I am spending the week supervising a geological investigation up near Aberdeen. Because it is a dual carriageway and have to partly close it means working night. So, 12 hour night shifts stood in the driving hail and sleet!!! Last night was vile. Wish me luck! Jen78
Good luck for tonight, sounds horrible, do you miss the sunshine?
verystormy
There was probably 2 mins last night I did. It was horizontal hail, but otherwise no. Tonight hasn't been too bad. Dry. It is 2am and just sneaked to Asda for a coffee. Very weird being the only customer in a massive supermarket!!
FOL
Those days where you work inside and you never see any light...those were the worst.
verystormy
Those days where you work inside and you never see any light...those were the worst. I can relate. I spent a year underground when in winter in NSW we would go underground before sunrise and come out and it was already dark. I didn't see sunlight in any form the entire winter. The week since I posted was actually not too bad. Cold, and averaged minus 3 but ok. Got another 3 nights next week to finish the project. As long as it stays dry, it is ok. We have good cold weather kit and you can dress for cold. Far easier to work in than heat!
