mwjw
Weve just seen a bargain and want to start the ball rolling, to buy it!! But...weve got another 8 months left on our lease...whats the costs involved in breaking the lease?!
ali
I believe that they can get you to pay for the cost of advertising - you need to check your rental agreement.

Weedolly
Prices have come down a bit but if its that much of a bargain I would find out why first.
verystormy
I know when we were considering breaking a few years ago, we were fully r sponsored for the rent until either the end of the lease or a new tenant was found.
Collie
As far as I know, you are reponsible for advertising costs for a new tenant. You are also reponsible for the rent until a new tenant is found or your lease expires, whichever occurs first. If the property is re-rented at a lower rent than you were paying you are responsible for the rent differential until your lease expires. Basically, a lease is a contract with legally enforceable obligations on you.
