ali
Just returned from a trip to KL with my daughter to celebrate my birthday and her graduation - have had an awesome time and would recommend it - particularly when Air Asia have some cheap flights. FOL
What is so appealing about KL? I know nothing about ir, except it being a stopover to Europe haha.
ali
For us, it feels a little less sterile than Singapore and more 'lived in' .. we enjoyed doing the sites, went to the national museum, Petrona's towers, did some shopping and just did a little exploring and relaxing. Our hotel was great, within walking distance of the towers (practically across the road) and easy to get into Bukit Bintang (walking). PerthAtHeart
I read somewhere that the Malaysian government made it the law that all food sellers, cooks or preparers of ethnic Malaysian food must be Malaysians, although they could hire foreign labour as waitresses or cleaners. Hence, I think the food in Malaysia remains true and authentic as compared to Singapore's, where 'local' foods kiosks tend to be run by recent immigrants (something lost in translation).
