Mamaworld
Hi everyone thanks for reading. I’m moving to Sorrento, Duncraig area early July with 4 kids (12,11,8,2). My oldest daughter is not keen on the move and worried she will have no friends and sad to leave her friends here behind. I am wondering if anyone else with similar aged kids are heading out or already there that could help her make the move. I’m hoping to place them in Duncraig High and younger kids in either Sorrento Primary or Duncraig. Any advice help much appreciated. Thanks
ali
If you know you're in the catchment for Duncraig High - why not contact the principle and see if there is one of the pupils who will volunteer to be a 'pen pal' (or whatever you call them these days). My daughter was 11 when she came and the school set her up with someone to chat to - she was 'introduced' on FB to others in her year/class and going on the first day didn't seem so daunting. No worries - I know it helped my daughter a little - she felt like she 'knew people' before she arrived
