hi

im nearly 20 years old, work in an office. have reasonable GCSE's and A levels. im a right in thinking that i have no chance in getting out of England and styaing in Oz forever. i really dislike the UK and want a change but dont want to have to come back.

does anyone know of getting sponsored office work or is that dreaming a little too much. if worse comes to worse i can get in the trade as my whole family are bricklayers.if anyone has any thoughts i will be very happy. cheers :smiloe:

Hiya,

I am 25 and have recently been sponsored by my company as a Project Administrator.

I have been working as an administrator for 4 years, and I put myself through a distance diploma in Business Management. That cost me about $2000 but I know that they definately come cheaper than that!

You should try and do a course like that in your own time, not only can you go at your own pace and time, but you will have a lot better chance of getting a job offer and a positive result if you applied for a visa in Oz.

what I would do now, is put my head down, get as much experience as you can in an administrative enviroment (if that's what your interested in pursuing) and then organising to come to Oz on a Working Holiday visa, whereby you can stay a year and find out if it is for you after all!

You sound like you're in a rut and a lot of my friends back home are the same.

Just keep your chin up and try and get your experience and a bit of education and you shouldn't have any problem getting here.

Avvy

Studying in Australia now does not lead to permanent residence. That was stopped this year.

There are routes but your best bet would be to try and improve your skills. I know this might seem like it would take for ever, but a couple of years now could be a good investment.

I was in a dead end job in England and decided to re train. Qualified as a geologist 3 years ago and moved to Australia 2 days later.
