Installation Tips for Flexible Ducting

Alpine Ventilation

Recommended Posts

  1. Measure Properly: Always measure the length of the ducting needed before installation to ensure a tight and secure fit. Flexible ducting should be stretched to its full length, but not excessively, as doing so can reduce its efficiency.

  2. Avoid Sharp Bends: While flexible ducting can bend, it’s important to avoid sharp angles or overly tight curves, as this can restrict airflow and reduce the overall performance of your HVAC or ventilation system.

  3. Use Proper Supports: Secure the ducting with Aluminium Ducting hangers or straps to prevent sagging. Sagging ducts can lead to airflow restrictions, making the system less efficient and more prone to damage.

  4. Seal the Joints: Ensure that all joints and connections are properly sealed to prevent air leaks. Using duct tape or a specialized sealing product will ensure that your flexible ducts maintain their efficiency over time.

  5. Check for Obstructions: Before installation, inspect the path where the flexible ducting will be routed to ensure there are no obstacles that could impede airflow. Keeping the ducting clear of obstructions will maintain optimal performance.
