Introduction: Hey everyone! I wanted to start a discussion about Promade Lashes because I’ve recently seen a lot of people talking about them and I’m curious to hear your experiences and insights. For those who aren’t familiar, Promade Lashes are a hybrid between pre-made and volume lashes. They come in clusters or fans that are ready to apply, making them an easier alternative for creating volume without the need for custom hand-made fans.

I’ve been experimenting with them recently and wanted to share my experience, but I’d love to hear from others too. Here’s a breakdown of what I’ve learned so far, and I’m hoping this can help those new to Promade Lashes or considering them as an option.

What Are Promade Lashes?

Promade lashes are essentially pre-fanned eyelash extensions that save time compared to creating fans from individual lashes (a technique used in volume lash extensions). These lashes come in different fan sizes (typically ranging from 3D to 7D) and are designed to offer the same fullness and volume as hand-made volume fans but without the complexity of creating each fan yourself.

Advantages of Promade Lashes:

  1. Time-saving: Unlike classic or volume lashes, Promade lashes save a lot of time. Since the fans are already made, lash artists don’t need to create them individually during the application process.

  2. Consistent Results: Promade lashes ensure a consistent fan shape and volume every time, so no more worrying about uneven fans or inconsistent lash extensions.

  3. Easy to Apply: They’re great for beginners and professionals alike because they require less skill in fan-making, which is a huge benefit for new lash artists.

  4. Perfect for Volume Looks: With multiple lashes in each fan, they create a fuller, voluminous lash look that clients love, especially for special events or those wanting a dramatic style.

  5. Less Damage to Natural Lashes: Since the fans are pre-made, the application typically involves using fewer adhesive bonds per fan, which can help minimize stress on natural lashes compared to traditional volume extensions.

How to Apply Promade Lashes:

  1. Preparation: Before applying Promade lashes, you must ensure that the natural lashes are clean and free of any oil, makeup, or debris. It’s also important to choose the right length and curl that fits the client’s eye shape and desired look.

  2. Pick the Right Fan Size: Promade lashes come in different fan sizes (3D, 4D, 6D, 7D, etc.). If your client wants a more natural look, choose a smaller fan size. For a dramatic effect, go for a larger fan size.

  3. Applying the Lashes: Using tweezers, pick up the Promade fan from the strip and dip it in your lash adhesive. Gently place the fan on the natural lash, ensuring it sticks well. Repeat this process for the entire lash line, paying attention to symmetry and balance.

  4. Aftercare: As with all eyelash extensions, it’s essential to advise clients on aftercare. They should avoid getting their lashes wet for the first 24 hours, refrain from using oil-based products around the eyes, and brush the lashes daily to keep them looking their best.

Potential Challenges of Promade Lashes:

  1. Not Ideal for All Eye Shapes: While Promade lashes are great for creating volume, they might not be the best choice for clients with very sparse lashes or those with very short natural lashes, as the fans may not adhere as well.

  2. Choosing the Right Lash Adhesive: Promade lashes are slightly heavier than classic lashes, so it’s important to use a strong enough adhesive that can support the weight of the fans.

  3. Learning Curve: For beginners, even though Promade lashes are easier to apply than hand-made fans, there’s still a learning curve in terms of picking the right fans, adjusting for different lash lengths, and achieving an even look.

Personal Experience:

I’ve used Promade lashes on a few clients and loved how much quicker the application process was compared to traditional volume extensions. The fans looked full right away, and I was able to create beautiful, voluminous lashes without worrying too much about fan consistency. Clients loved the results, and it saved me a lot of time during my appointments. However, I did have to be mindful of choosing the correct fan size for different eye shapes to ensure a natural, flattering look.

Questions for Discussion:

  • Has anyone else tried Promade lashes? What’s your experience with them?
  • Do you prefer Promade lashes over traditional hand-made volume lashes? Why or why not?
  • Any tips for first-time users or lash artists trying Promade lashes for the first time?
  • Do you think Promade lashes are a good alternative for beginners, or should they stick with classic lashes first?

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and tips!
