train from airport?

One thing this state did not allow for when they designed the train line, and the airport, was either of those facilities ever meeting....

So I suggest that you look up some companies, like maxi bus charters or rent a cars like budget, as I expect you will have lots of baggage as well as your family traveling with you, to move in one piece to where ever you have decided to use as your base...

The closest train station, is way down the road from the airport, not within walking distance, sorry, my apologies for thoughtless town planners.... there is a website called whereis, that I use for finding places, so I put up Perth airport and got the ideas in the above paragraph from there...

to get to Warnbro from the airport, your best bet, is Tonkin highway south, which has a lead on to it, just outside the airport, to Roe H`way west,, then onto Kwinana freeway south, off at Safety Bay road, (otherwise you end up at Bunbury) off at Warnbro Sound avenue, follow that down to wherever, but you can get the details from the where is map. Pays to hire a mini bus or something like that to get there the first time... cheers

Hi all

just wondered if you can get a train from the airport to warnbro and roughly how long does it take

cheers! sam&mark

Unfortunately there is no train link to the airport as yet..... still in the planning stages with completion due 2020!

There is the Airport Shuttle bus that runs between the terminals and into Perth City. http://www.perthairport.com.au/ToTheAirport/Shuttles.aspx. You can be dropped at the main station in Perth and from there get a train on the Mandurah line to Warnbro.

However after a long haul flight, you might want to consider booking a taxi/mini bus, or even a hire car, as to cope with luggage and buses and trains will be draining after that flight. It will also depend on what time you arrive in Perth. Have a google for "airport transfers Perth" and you will come up with heaps of companies that do this.

Remember there is also Uber, whilst in Perth I found them nearly half the price of a normal taxi. I have a code somewhere that gives you $15 off. I did worry when I first signed up with Uber about giving my credit card out as I hadn't heard of them before, but we used them all the time in America and we signed up for an account each so ended up with a few free rides. In Perth I used a taxi from the airport and it cost me $50, going back with Uber it cost me $28 and that's without a voucher. I tried to sign my mum up in the UK but I'm not sure if they are there yet as it said no Ubers in her area.

Here is the code for the $15 https://get.uber.com/invite/katew3733ue
