Guest marvin
Hi corals first thing you need to is get in touch with an migration agent there are plenty to choose from they will explane it all to you . But it will cost as your hubby is a trades man like me he will have to do an AQF111 test to prove he can do what he says he can do its like doing your city and guilds for a day then your have loads of forms to fill in that being done its a long wait hope this helps

The Frets
Hi we used Ian Harrop and associates. He was very up front with everything, couldn't fault him. By the way my hubby is an electrician too, we've been here since Dec 2007. All the best Jane
verystormy
Before you spend a lot of cash please be certain of why you want to move to the other side of the world. Better weather - Dont forget that it can mean your husband working outside in incredible heat and that Perth winters are pretty miserable - we have a higher annual rainfall than London Better lifestyle - possible but it is incredibly expensive here. Better education - mmm many would disagree Perth has its pluses but be certain of your reasons.

Down under live is on in London and Birmingham and there is an event in Glasgow too. All around the last weekend In Feb. JaseandAnne
Hi, I'm doing the application myself, the information you need is all on the government websites. You will save yourself a fair amount of money as well. As long as you read what is required and the time scales for various things to be done you cant really go wrong. When you pay an agent they will fill out the same form that you do! I've applied before a few years back but due to personal reasons I never went, on that occassion I did all the paperwork and recieved my visas with no hassle at all. This time I've gone for SS and weve decided on Perth because we have friends there. I'm a car mechanic and did the skills asessment first, there are only a few times a year that the practical part is held and if you dont pass certain elements you can retake those parts. This might take some time so get it done first. If nothing else it gives your hubby an Australian qualification to add to the CV.
