Admin
Hi skippy59 Welcome to the forum. A quick search on yellow pages show 915 listings for building / construction companies in the greater Perth area. I'd work through them sending cv/covering letters, might pay dividends Yellow Pages® | construction in perth, Australia
RobynMargarat
check out the website skyscraperscity.com, big buildings, work your way to the cities in Australia till you read all of the buildings planned for Perth in the next 2 years, look for the list of tenders, and pick which ever one might suit you. Incidently , you could also look in the business section of the West Australian which is a lift out on Wednesday`s, it includes the property for sale, proposed buildings and other information, you may need. Also check Architectural Magazines, as they have the same sort of information. There are about 150 buildings on the various council agenda`s in Perth, proposed and approved , some still being argued about, but I am sure there is something you may be looking for... if however you are only looking for piecemeal jobs, look for tenders, which are advertised in the West Australian, on Wednesdays and Saturdays as classifieds.. a list of licensed builders in Perth should also be available somewhere, keep looking.... you can also go into the Westaustralian.com.au and order the Saturday`s paper to be sent to whichever town or city you live in.. RobynMargarat
you forgot Diploma, Landcorp. Mirvac, and anything with Dallas Dempster.. also check out companies developing the Heart of the Pilbara, the mining town Karratha is in for major growth in the next few years, and lots of the above mentioned companies are tendering for the chance to be part of the *big Growing area* There have also tenders let for multi-story apartment buildings to encourage people to live in the inner city, low- cost housing included, for working who don`t wish to have a car and live in the suburbs. I wonder how many buildings have CBRE `s name on them. There was an ad in last Wednesdays WestProperty lift out advertising building in Karratha... perth.prd.com.au, dunno who they arr, but developers of The Frangipani resort in Broome, says the advert. if that`s not enough to go on with..?? RobynMargarat
keep an eye out for jobs being advertised by Finbar as they have some major working going, have just won a contract up North.... here is the blurb in the paper today.. Developer Finbar Group says it has secured development approval for both stages of its $225 million Pelago project in Karratha. Pelago East and West, to be constructed on Sharpe Avenue, will comprise 292 residential apartments, 22 commercial lots and is the first project of its kind to be approved as part of the Pilbara Cities revitalisation plan for the Karratha town centre. Finbar said it had received a strong level of inquiries which had resulted in 11 per cent of the $88 million stage one project selling in the first three weeks of marketing. Builders will begin on the site soon with expected completion by the middle of 2012.
