We are a family soon relocating to Perth. We are interestested in the West Coast Steiner School for the children and as we don't know Perth at all, it would be nice with some comments about what it's like to live in Nollamara or the surrounding areas. Many thanks!

Hiya Tyles family, Nollamara is an older suburb , more working class 10km from the city.It has generally been undepriced and good value for your money, especially if you like renovating, as it has some large blocks with people sub dividing .It has some major shopping centres close by and is about 15km from the beach.Personally i prefer to be nearer the beach and travel the extra to work.If the children were going to a state school , I would say its nicer to be close to the school,as school freinds would be close by etc, but as Steiner is a special school , probably people would be travelling from various suburbs, so really you can live any where depending what your thing is.try renting for 6 months to get a feel of the area. If you need short term accommodation holiday stay when you arrive contact sumos@bigpond.net.au

Nollamara is an older type suburb that stretches easterly inland from Wanneroo Road through to Mirrabooka. It is close to everywhere, and currently there is a lot of construction work happening in the suburb as developers flock to the area due to the favourable zoning.

A lot of the blocks house neglected run-down properties which developers are buying................... bringing in the bulldozer............. and replacing decrepit looking places with 2 or 3 units dependent on block size.

I have such a listing coming up mid-week in Chichester Way; it's a house I sold a few years ago ...........strictly a bulldozer job although it is currently leased ................. just to give you some idea re prices in the area; we are asking for offers circa $520K for that one.
