Guest rico123
Hi all, I'm looking for a bit of advice or to hear from anyone who has been through the same scenario... my hubby and i and our 13 yr old daughter all have migration visa's-they expire April 2012...we are leaving to go Nov 30th(long story short we emmigrated 2007-wrong time as hubbys mum died etc so we came home) Anyway we now have a 2 year old daughter who has no visa...i honestly didnt think it would take time or be an issue to get her one..and have since found out it takes 7-8-9 months:shocked:and our flights are booked for roughly 61/2 months time.So i was wondering has anyone got their child a tourist visa and then applied onshore for a migration visa for them???Also another hurdle is we cant leave oz for 2 years as we'd need to apply for residency return visas as we havent been in Oz for 2yr out of 5...so will she need to leave the country once her visa is granted???I am panicky now so any help would be great thanx. Littlem
Afraid I cant answer your question but just wanted to say hello, we fly on 30 November too. Good luck with your query and giving it a go second time around. Michelle
ali
I don't know - have you spoken to someone at immigration? They may be able to expedicate things, although I'm guessing (and it is a guess) that your 2 year old may also require a medical to be added onto the visa. Go Matilda are a very reputable company and one of their agents may be able to offer some advice?
