Guest johnboywalton13
Hi guys, Can anyone give me an insight into a few issues. I have had my sponsor agreed and nomination also agreed and have filled out my visa ready to send. Am i required to pay for a health insurance policy now in june when i am not moving until november just to show proof i have cover??? Also im not sure how the skills assesment works,i have a work sponser who are sponsering me and employing me so do i still need to go through the skills assesment programme??? Any info on this would be greatly appreciated. x
Guest Jeri
Hiya About the health care - insurance.. I 've just looked into it and I chose IMAN (shop around as there are loads of good deals) With my one (full cover $175 per month), I had to pay the first month (they hold the money), you give them an 'expected' entry date, which you can change by email if need be.... Once you arrive, they have the first months cover, so they then start taking that amount from the second month (a month after you arrive) and so forth. When you join online (its all done online), they will then email you a letter stating you are covered - which is what you put with your application. Hope that helps. x
Guest keith73
Hi, It all depends on what visa you are applying for and what job you do
Guest johnboywalton13
Hi Kieth, Im coming in in november on a 457 sponsered employee visa as a head chef working in a remote sites environment. Can you shed any more light for me.
Guest keith73
Hi mate, Don't quote me but I don't think you will need a skills assessment on a 457, certain trades from certain country's do however need to do them. Your best bet would be to check out the Aus Immigration website and do a search for 457, or failing that ask your sponsor they will surely know. Good luck Keith
